Guangdong'S Minimum Wage Increased By 21%&Nbsp On Average, So As To Relieve Recruitment Difficulties.

Reporters learned from the Guangdong Provincial Department of human resources and social security 17, from May 1st this year, Guangdong adjusted the minimum wage standard for workers and staff members, and raised the minimum wage standard for part-time workers. The average minimum wage level of the province was increased by 21.1% after adjustment.


The adjusted minimum wage standard for workers and staff members and the minimum wage standard for part-time workers are divided into five grades. Among them, the highest class I standard in Guangzhou is 1030 yuan / month, an increase of 19.8%, and the corresponding minimum wage for part-time workers is 9.9 yuan / hour.


The second category is 920 yuan / month, an increase of 19.5%. The implementation area is Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhongshan in the Pearl River Delta region. The corresponding minimum wage for part-time workers is 8.8 yuan / hour.


The third category is 810 yuan / month, an increase of 20.9%. The implementation area is Shantou, Huizhou and Jiangmen. The corresponding minimum wage for part-time workers is 7.9 yuan / hour.


The fourth category is 710 yuan / month, an increase of 22.4%. The implementation area is twelve cities such as Shaoguan, Heyuan and Meizhou. The corresponding minimum wage for part-time workers is 6.9 yuan / hour.


The fifth type of standard is 660 yuan / month, an increase of 24.5%, and is implemented by some four poor cities and county level cities. The corresponding minimum wage for part-time workers is 6.4 yuan / hour.


According to the introduction, the adjustment is based on the economic and social development of Guangdong, in accordance with the provisions of the minimum wage regulations, such as the proportion law, Engel coefficient method and the international average wage ratio method, and comprehensively considering the recent employment status, wage level, price growth, social security level and other factors.

The purpose is to further enhance Guangdong's employment attractiveness, guide the return of foreign labor force, and ease the recruitment difficulties of some industries in Guangdong.


Lin Wangping, deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of human resources and social security, said that the adjustment of the minimum wage standard to meet the needs of Guangdong's economic and social development is conducive to easing the trend of widening income gap in eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong, northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta region, as well as improving the employment environment in Guangdong.
