New Zealand Wool Exports To China Are On The Rise

2008/7/16 0:00:00 48

According to the adjusted data, the monthly export volume of wool in New Zealand decreased in March 2008 compared with March 2007.

However, such a decline must be handled with caution because it is mainly affected by the reduction of the working day in March, because Easter breaks at the beginning of this year.

In the first 9 months of the 2007-08 season, the decline in wool exports in New Zealand was related to the expansion of large importing countries.

Of the 5 largest purchasers of New Zealand wool, only China has increased year by year.

The rise in wool exports to China was accompanied by the weakening of the New Zealand dollar to the US dollar in the second half of this season.

Although export disruption was caused by the issue of quotas in the first half of the 2007-08 season, New Zealand's wool exports to China continued to grow.

The other four big importers of New Zealand wool are the United States, India, Italy and Belgium - Luxemburg, and their wool imports from New Zealand all fell during the season to March.

In the past 12 months ending in March 2008, the cumulative export of wool in New Zealand has declined, and the export of all kinds of wool has declined, and the export of wool tops has fallen the most.
