India's Federal Ministry of textiles is considering limiting cotton exports, a senior official of the Ministry of textiles said.

The Federal Ministry of textiles did not prohibit the export of cotton, the official said on Monday.

The government is considering various measures to ensure that local consumers get cotton at the same level as the international level.

Cotton farmers and consumers should benefit.

Recently, the central government of India has cancelled the import tax on cotton, reduced it to zero tariff, cancelled the export incentives to cotton, and reduced the price of cotton.

India textile Ministry also questioned the data collection of cotton exports.

Therefore, the Ministry of textiles seeks a system to register actual exports.

The official pointed out that cotton prices have also risen in other countries.

Industry believes that this year, India's cotton exports are expected to exceed 100 million packages. In the past 6 months, cotton prices have risen sharply, and India's domestic textile industry has sought to suspend cotton exports until December.

At the same time, there is also a request to prohibit the export of waste cotton.
